Bulk tag documents

For projects created in version 3.8 or higher, you can bulk tag documents by adding or removing values from fields listed in a coding form. Any coding form is applicable, including the Default Coding Form. When creating a coding form, if you allow the users to add values to a single or multiple choice fields, then you can add values to fields in a coding form.

Perform the following procedure to bulk tag documents.

  1. In the Project page, click REVIEW.

  2. Select the documents to tag.
    • To select specific files, select one or more documents.
    • To select all files, in the pane, click .
  3. In the pane, click .
  4. In Tag, select a coding form from the list.

  5. Modify the tag values as needed.

    • To code a field value, select the Modify checkbox for the field and then select the value. Depending on the type of field, this means you can select one or more values, supply the date, or supply text as the field indicates.

    • To add a value to a field that accepts values, click the Pencil icon at the top of the form, select the Modify checkbox for the field, enter a value in the box, and then click .

    • To remove all existing coded values for a field, select the Modify checkbox for the field. Leave all values for the field unselected or blank.

  6. Click Submit.

  7. You can view the bulk tagging job status and details in the JOBS and Job Overview pages.
